Alexis returned to my studio the day after our casting. As she looked through my portfolio, she said that she loved the style of my work and was excited to see what we came up with.

Before we started the shoot, I snapped these candid shots of Alexis to test the lighting.

Alexis grew up in a small town in Northern California. After her 18th birthday, she moved to Los Angeles to get into the adult business.

At the time, I was working on a series of artistic portraits of the ‘new wave’ of porn performers. I took the opportunity to shoot Alexis before she began her career in earnest. I hoped to capture her softer side; her natural beauty.
